Wednesday Quilters

My projects:
The horsey quilt - I've been cutting out big six inch squares and I believe I have enough fabric to make Elizabeth a twin size quilt:

I am NOT an artist, I can't draw a stick figure, so I'm struggling with the doll's face. These are the first, second and third attempts.

Been busy baking brownies. For the Soldiers' Angels group. These are going to a couple of heroes:
As is this banana bread - I made severa loaves:And here's the quilt top that's going to Debra for her homeless teen quilt project:
I guess I have been more productive than I thought.

What have you been up to?

  1. The quilt is outstanding! I love all the colors.
I've not been as productive as you...still working on the mil quilt.

  2. Hi!

I am showing up in my bathrobe again this week but at least I have matching PJs. It's been pretty cold at night and with my hubby gone, I had to resort to PJs.

I've been busy making corduroy quilts for my Homeless Teen project. If you want a quick glance beore they head out the door, stop by my blog. I have photos posted there.

Thanks, Deb for your quilt top. I'll use it right away. I have a sheet for the backing that should work just right.

  3. The doll faces look great to me! The western fabrics should be fun to work with, and you have such an assortment.

  5. Debra: the package is in the mail. I hpe the blocks are usable. When you get them you'll see why I never did anything with them! It's cold here, too - 15 degrees this morning.

Jen: I had a lot more western fabric than I thought. Actually got the top half done last night but I'm not totally happy with it. :-(

Debby: I'm knitting too when I'm watching a movie, at night usually.

Thanks for the comments about the doll faces. They don't look so bad after a couple of days of not looking at them, actually. I'll keep practicing.
