Finishing Up A Challenge

I got involved in Michele's Mug Rug Swap because I haven't done a swap in a long time,  they're kind of fun, and I've had the urge to do a few mug rugs for gifts. But of course I realized yesterday that the deadline was looming and I'd better get busy. Working on these meant I didn't get my applique block finished for the UFO I'm working.

DD#1 made this cute back out of a sweater she picked up at Good will.  I think it's cute.

Back to the Passover preparations. Already my back is killing me.

I've moved my blogs to Bloglovin'. I hope you'll follow me.

  1. I recognize those plaids! Ready for their 15 Minutes of Fame!

Cute purse. Does it keep its shape well?

  2. No wonder you're so good at applique! Cute mug rugs, especially the owls.

    1. really hard to stitch through that fusible stuff, though. My machine's blanket stitch is not so pretty or I definitely would have used it.

  3. How cute those are! Looks like it was time well spent. Love the bag your daughter made. Looks like that acorn fell pretty close to the tree. =)

  4. Thanks - and I just realized the deadline isn't looming, it's way past. I am really behind on that swap. What did I say about deadlines sneaking up on me? My poor partner probably thinks she's been forgotten.

Not sure about the bag - she finished it up the other day, so we'll see. Allison just bought her first sewing machine.

    1. meant to say, not sure about the bag holding it's shape. She used some heavy duty interfacing so it should.

    2. My guess is that the interfacing and lining do the heavy lifting and the sweater fabric sits around & eats bonbons.
