Here are two different versions of the center block. If I go with the bottom version, I'd do a lot of hand embroidery around the picture on the white linen. Do you like the roses on the first version? I'm not sure.
I like the top photo, but, like Debra, I think the roses are too big and take the attention away from the center photo. Small roses would work better or a ribbon in one of the colours from the rectangle. It would be like framing the center.
I'm trying to imagine what you might embroider on the bottom. I think either way could be good. I don't like the big pink flowers on that first one, either. I'm wondering if I would like them more on the inside corners of the bottom one - not overlapping into your white star area.
I like the pink center rectangle. Not crazy about the roses on the 4 corners--they seem large & overwhelming to the picture.
ReplyDeleteWhat if the picture was moved higher on the block and the roses were arranged in a half circle across the bottom of the picture inside the pink area?
I need to let it sit for awhile.

ReplyDeleteInteresting how differently we see things. Right now I don't like either one.
ReplyDeleteI like the star shape that's emphasized in the second version, but the irregular white points on the right side really draw a lot of attention.
